Description

Bike or hike through old growth forest 16 miiles in an area dubbed, "Land of a Thousand Sinks." Woodland roads go for many miles along the river. Visit Holton Creek thought to be one of the rises of the disappearing Alapaha River.

Directions

"Twelve miles northwest of Live Oak just across the Suwannee River on Hamilton County Road 751 (Suwannee County Road 249), look for signs and entrance road to Holton Creek Wildlife Management Area, 0.2 mile north of the Agricultural Inspection Station. Follow the signs to Holton Creek, and park at the trailhead kiosk.
